Summer Dayton Freebies/Activities
Regal Movies has a free movie program
Woodbourne and Centerville Libraries has their summer reading program where you can get some good prizes in the different age groups. Keep your eyes open it doesn't start till June 8. Those of you with young children under 2 there is a club for you too!
Dayton Public Library also has a summer reading program. Visit their site to see where your local branch might be.
Half Price book stores has a Feed Your Brain where you can score free books for kids. You get a $3 credit for any purchase.

Well, we found out we are having another boy! C is thrilled! We weren't going to buy bedding but we found some Dwell Studio schoolbook set on clearance for $27 at Target and couldn't pass it up!
So this time no jungle animals for us. we are going with blue and brown letters. We have some ideas for how we are going to paint. Since my husband is awesome he is probably going to do some cool vinyl too for the walls. We still have 4 months left, but it's exciting to get started at least with ideas.

Well, I think we have decided on a few names. C is so certain that the Baby Penguin needs to be it's real name. He also is really set on it being a boy. We told him that he gets to come to the ultrasound with us and he's excited about that. So we'll find out in a few weeks what we are having!
Everything has been going well. I wasn't sick the first trimester, and we are already in our second one now. Things have been going good, and now we are just waiting to see what we are having.

Yearly interview
So I found this on Crafty Crow. Since it's the start of a new year and C is getting older this seemed like a great way to keep memories. It's a New Year's Interview for your kids, since C is old enough to actually give me straight answers for this I'm really excited about doing this with him. I think I already know how he will answer some of the questions, but it will be fun to do and look back next year.

So I'm a total slacker and haven't done school this week. I really didn't feel like it... but neither did C... so..
We went to the park today with my sister and the boys. They had a great time together! It was cute to see how excited they get to see each other. Too bad that they are moving soon, but at least they can play together over the holidays. Jamie had her camera with her and we got some great pixs of the kids. Well, I did since I kinda commandeered her camera.
C is doing so well potty training , he HARDLY has any accidents anymore. He loves to get candy corn as a reward. What will we do when we run out! I thought that he would love Reese Pieces or M&M's but candy corn is the clear winner in his heart. "One for going potty, one for flushing, one for using soap." Typically it's "one for washing with Mama's soap, not C's soap."
